Print Design

We’ve been designing for print ever since we started working for the student newspaper way back in high school. Hey, that’s over 10 years of experience! The Family excels in typography, color, grid theory, and white space. We can take your piece from concept to completion with thorough knowledge of each step in the designing and printing process. Branding

A brand isn’t just a logo. It’s the visual and emotional ethos of your company/organization/grassroots DIY group. Not everybody needs a “brand,” but they sure can help in growing and promoting your company. Heck, even MARXISTS use branding. Remember the hammer and sickel? The red star? Yeah, so do we.

Creative Consulting

What is “Creative Consulting?”, you may be asking? Just another useless Web 2.0 buzzword? Hardly. In our minds, creative consulting is something useful and fun. For instance, say you are having trouble trying to figure out an original way to pitch your product or all-ages venue. Instead of looking to boring ole’ business books for solutions, we have a conversation about it. We throw ideas around and figure out methods of doing things on the cheap. We come up with weird domain names like “www.becomeinvisible.com” and “www.departmentofsafety.com” (that one’s got an interesting story behind it). We shoot bizarre and original images for your band’s promo photos. We develop new ways of fundraising. We are a Family of Creative Consultants, so get in and get deep into the positive vibe zone.

Rates

Our design and development rate is a flat $50 per hour, which is quite reasonable in this age of flashy designers who often charge twice as much.

It's even less for non-profits and community organizations. Because hey, everybody deserves good design.
