“The Business, a retail experiment, was founded in 1978 by Anacortes legend Glen DesJardins. In its humble beginnings The Business carried everything from stained glass and books to bird seed and photography services. The spirit of having one of everything has prevailed through the years to now include the current evolution of inventory: new and used CD’s and vinyl, books, movies, video games, turntables, cameras, and vintage collectibles and ephemera. We are also an oasis of local culture providing a storefront for countless local musicians and craftsman – jewelry, clothing, visual art, you name it and we’ll promote it. The Business also has a grassroots cafe; we brew espresso using the ever satisfying Batdorf & Bronson coffee and organic dairy. Cookies and treats are hand baked from scratch daily.”
